Why? Well I’m finding that it’s a lot easier to post there in terms of the interface, it imports feeds from Twitter, it’s free, and the design is far more simple. The drawbacks? You lose some of the bells and whistles (but who cares) and Tumblr is not exactly the best for longer-format posts but it’s not often these days that I’m writing big posts so the impact is minimal. I’ll be liveblogging the DEMO conference in September again so that will be the first test of how it holds up to a lot of text in terms of readability, etc.
