Talari Networks

They’re in the LAN for business business.  Funny jokes onstage about how network infrastructure isn’t sexy. Performance and reliability have come a long way, but still don’t meet what businesses need, so no one is moving off of proprietary (and very expensive) connections yet because they’re not even there yet with what they’re already invested.  Analogy: IBM in the mainfram days, that’s where Talari thinks we are now.

WAN optimization based on performance because it is assumed that bandwidth is incredibly exensive.  But, there are plenty of inexpensive bits out there, they just need to be optimized to be of sufficient quality for business use.

Almost no demo visiuals at all, and I know network performance but it was hard to discern how they actually do what they say they can do, though the value prop of that is very, very clear. I’ll be interested to hear more in the pavilion later.
