They make community created magazines. “We believe that the web can make magazines better.”

Hybrid model — best of web, best of print. And example is JPEG magazine, they launched it in May. Magazines give focus for a community and also help enforce standards.

Today, launching “Everywhere” magazine. Editorial process is done by the group, with a more authentic voice…

They’re going through the process—locations, photos, locations, contributors, etc.

Combines both short and long form content, with a focus on quality, and they claim that they’re seeing a high quality of submission across the board. They haven’t said exactly how it gets decided on what is in and what is out, and/or who lays it out etc.  There is an editor, but as they say he/she is much more of a “community manager.” Very interesting concept, and look forward to learning more. Could be a great way for an enterprise customer base, for instance, to publish a quarterly magazine, or a very specific hobby/interest group to do the same.
