Universal mobile service. “Our target audience is the teenager that wants to combine and extend their social life.” 600 million kids between 16 and 24 on mobile phones. Showing a map of where they are so far and where they aren’t. Not bad. Will announce AT&T soon. Messaging, blogging, instant messaging, contacts. Pretty basic stuff, with friends/groups, profiles functionality. Re: the “combine” part here, with IM for instance you can use AOL, ICQ etc. and can blog to popular services, can post to Flicker, etc. Beta program today, live in 6-8 weeks. Will add Wall, API, etc. They’re ending with a flourish, a hilarious a capella rendition of their theme song. Strong applause. Hehe.
